Outlook
Share Box.net files using your Microsoft Outlook email client. It works with Thunderbird and Mac Mail clients as well.
About this service
Outlook Is a popular email client, and with its Box.net integration, you can use it to easily send files directly from your Box.net account. A sharing link is placed into an email that you can edit and send normally. To use Outlook, right click on a file and select “Send with Outlook.” The client will open up and will contain a link to your file. Add recipients and edit the text of the message, then send it. This OpenBox action also works with Mozilla Thunderbird and Mac Mail clients.
Available Actions
- Send with Outlook: Add a link to this file in an email via Outlook. You will be able to edit the email before sending it to contacts. Works with Mozilla Thunderbird, too.

I tested this with outlook and it works great. Sending documents using the link to the file is great because you receive an email back when the recipient has downloaded the file.

Hi Elements of Architecture - you may want to talk to our support team, by visiting http://www.box.net/help/contact/new. My guess is that this is a cache or cookie issue on your machine, but we will gladly investigate this matter more thoroughly if you contact support

Hi David, can you try again? We had an issue with files or folder that had special characters in the name. It should be working now

I tried the Outlook option. It does open an Outlook email but the link to the file doesn't appear in the email body or subject. I think I tried this a few days ago and the link to the file did show up. Not sure if I have done something wrong though
