About this application

EditGrid is an online spreadsheet editor that enables you to quickly and easily view and change the spreadsheets in your Box.net account directly from your web browser. It is widely compatible, supporting files from Open Office, Open Document, Excel, and Star Office, as well as CSV files. You can either import files already in your Box.net account or create brand new spreadsheets and then save them directly back to Box.

To use EditGrid, right click on a spreadsheet in your Box.net account and select “Edit spreadsheet.” The spreadsheet will be imported straight into EditGrid, and from there you can edit it with the an intuitive interface. When you are done, save the finished product back to Box.net.

  • Edit spreadsheet: Open your spreadsheet with EditGrid (xls, gnumeric, ods, sxc, 123, wks1, wks2, wks3, wks4, csv, tsv)

Great program! The one thing that's keeping from using it more often is the fact that you can't update xlsx files

i really do not understand how it works! can somneone help me? the instructions say to "right click" on your account b ut i do not find any ways to open the file!!!

@Susan. Editgrid currently does not support filemaker pro files. We hope to provide this functionality soon.

It works fine in Safari for Mac, but I get 'Permission denied' in Firefox for Mac. There are other problems with FF and box.net also.

Hi ilker - EditGrid currently does not support xlsx (Excel 2007) files. We hope to provide this functionality very soon.
