When you share a folder, you receive a link to a page on Box.net that displays the contents of that folder. Folders with images will be shown as click-through photo slideshows, making this a great way to share photos. People who view these files can download them to their desktop or pass the web link along to others.

To create a shared folder, you must first create a folder, then share it by right-clicking it and selecting 'Link to this Folder'. This generates a link to a Box.net page which displays the contents of the folder. Simply give this link to those who you want to see the folder's contents, whether or not they are a member of Box.net.
