It can be crucial to share documents and communicate to co-workers about projects. Fortunately, Box.net has a built in note feature called Webdocs. Webdocs is mini word processing software allowing you to write full papers, leave quick notes, collaborate on todo lists, and even embed videos, images and more. You can create all these Webdocs online, and add them to folders teams are working in, or use them to replace Microsoft Word when you are on a computer that doesn't have it installed.

Here is a preview of what a web doc looks like. You'll notice almost all the same features as a typical word processor.

While editing a Webdoc, users can watch the contributions of each editor and make comments. Other employees can be invited to edit the document or just view it with user specific permissions. Since Box is web based, no program needs to be installed and you don’t have to worry about which file extension you’re using (.doc, .docx etc.)
